The burning in your feet at 2am is not in your head.

Pins and needles. Numb patches. The electric burn that arrives the moment the room goes quiet. This is not a cure, and I will not pretend otherwise — but circulation, nutrition and warmth are three things nerves need, and this is thirty days of attending to all three, in order.

What is inside

  • The 30-day plan, day by day
  • Meal plans with shopping lists
  • The daily foot-soak and self-massage protocols, with the right direction and pressure
  • The evening breathing and wind-down sequence
  • A printable tracker: burning, tingling, numbness, sleep quality
  • Three things to remove, and why
  • The audiobook version, free

Not for you if your numbness or weakness is sudden, new, or getting worse quickly. That is a doctor this week, not a book.

All seven guides — plus all seven audiobooks — for $29. That is $10 more than this one book, for seven times as much. See the Complete Collection

Thirty days to change your mind — full refund, no questions, and you keep the files.

Educational material about food, movement and sleep habits. Not medical advice and not a substitute for your doctor. Keep taking everything you have been prescribed.

Practical and Informative

I would give The Vagus Nerve Protocol by Adele Payne a four-out-of-five-star rating. The author does a great job explaining the vagus nerve and how being stuck in a prolonged survival state can affect people in ways they may not even realize. I especially liked that the book offers a variety of breathing exercises, movements, and other techniques, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. The 28-day plan gives readers practical tools they can try and personalize to help regulate their bodies and make small, lasting changes over time.

This could change your life!!

This book has studies that are fascinating! My Dr is looking into the implant for me. There are no current studies that I could find to join worldwide. That was a huge disappointment! It just shows how new these findings are and how few doctors are actually using the technique. I will be the first in the OC to receive the implant if it goes through.

Calming and practical

I really like the sound of this treatment, no pain, no real risks and lots to gain. The book is very convincing that EECP works. Also, it is apparently covered by health insurance in the USA. The hardest thing might be committing to the one hour treatment sessions, five days a week for seven weeks. On the down side, I was tempted to give the book 4 stars since the author trashes chelation therapy (on pg.190) but in all honesty, the EECP treatment if not the book, does deserve 5 stars! Braverman states that chelation therapy is unproven, 'harmful - even fatal - when administered to the wrong person'. I don't agree. Perhaps she is so sold on EECP that she felt it unnecessary to research chelation therapy. Having worked in a chelation clinic for over 10 years, it's my opinion that Chelation and EECP could produce far better results in tandem than either modality used alone and there seems no reason why they could not be used simultaneously, if not synergistically. After all the negative comments, there is one redeeming sentence at the end where she states "Chelation does not interfere with EECP, so you may undergo both therapies if you choose" p.191. I would be surprised if Dr Julian Whitaker, MD (from the Foreword) doesn't use both in his practice. Like chelation therapy, EECP requires some maintenance treatment down the track whether it be 1, 2 or 5 years later. A full course of EECP runs about $6,000 (covered by insurance) over 7 weeks; a full course of chelation runs about $2,000-3,000 over 10 weeks.

Easy to integrate daily practices for practitioners and patients

Easy to digest chapters clearly outlining the inter-relationship between our nervous system and functional deficits. Highly recommend to anyone seeking to down regulate their own fight or flight response or clinicians working with pelvic health clients.

Calm and easy to follow

The workbook sounds approachable without making big promises. I liked that it focuses on small daily practices rather than quick fixes, and the step by step format seems manageable. If you're looking for practical exercises instead of dense theory, this looks like a sensible place to start

Great product! Very gentle on my IBS gut. Wish it were cheaper.
This book on the vagus nerve gives a very good overview!

This book gives you a good overview of the basics of Vagus nerve innovation and exercises to go along with it that will help calm the vagus nerve. I would only add that I would like to see a more in depth treatment of the nerve exercises.

Very interesting read.

This book did a good job explaining what the Vagus nerve is. My mind was blown as I began to understand the impact this has on your body. Working on the exercises now!

Well thought out information

The book was thorough but maybe a bit too thorough. There was good background knowledge and everything was well explained. The ideas and daily plan seemed helpful. But, one day just isn’t enough time to establish the routines. I loved the font and formatting. It made it simple to read. For me, an audio book would be easier. That way, I could follow directions without going back to clarify the steps. The information was helpful.

Helpful and Easy to Follow

This was a helpful and easy-to-understand introduction to the vagus nerve and its connection to anxiety. I had previously learned about the vagus nerve from my trauma yoga instructor, so it was interesting to read more about how it impacts stress and emotional well-being.

The book offers practical techniques that are simple to apply. While I would have liked a little more depth in some areas, I still found it informative and encouraging. A great read for anyone looking for natural ways to manage anxiety.

Exactly what I need

I haven't started the protocol yet, but reading through it, it sounds like exactly what I need. I'm definitely going to try it and update my review when I do.

Finally something scientifically that really works.

This book was excellent. It has helped me in so many ways and I am very thankful for discovering all the information contained in it. I am a a retired RN and have worked in practically every area of the hospital as a staff nurse and a nursing supervisor. I have seen the worst of the worst when it comes to tragedy and trauma. While I am happy that I was able to help many people I have to admit it has left me with much anxiety and stress. This book brings understanding and the real possibility that you can actually do something physically to prevent the anxiety and stop the intense feelings that come with anxiety. I am truly amazed at what this protocol has done for me. I would encourage anyone who seeks more information regarding anxiety to check this out.

A remarkable explanation of the aftereffects of a vagotomy

This magnificent book is both scientifically informative and uplifting. My vagus nerve was intentionally surgically cut in 1963 in “a matter of life and death situation.” I was only told that I could have diarrhea all my life, as a result. Wrong!I’m now 92 and many of my longtime suspicions about fatigue, emotions, digestion and other health related issues, are finally addressed and explained. I’ve purchased four copies to share with medical professionals.Thank you Dr. Tracey.

All that is promised.

I am at a loss to explain the reasons I am so happy that I found this book. I have read many books over the last few years in an attempt to reset my nervous system. Many have been about the vagus never. This book supplies all of the research and data in other books and adds a bit more that I needed. I think that one of the main reasons this book is so helpful to me are the daily exercises. Other books don't allow for the overwhelm and lack of focus. The others mention these as problems and then continue to overwhelm and require focus. The exercises are perfect. I have hope again.

Needs more science, less about him

I wanted to like this book. Searching for a substantive book -- authentic rather than 'new age' froo-froo -- I purchased this one based on the reviews, and also on CLAUDE's recommendation. There's very little science here, very little anatomy, very little hypothesis and applicable experimentation. It's mostly macro: his patients, his thinking, his meandering, his guess-work with little back-up.
